Stefani Threet was born in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Alfred University and continued her education at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Stefani lived in Oaxaca, Mexico from 2007 to 2011 and visits frequently. Her time spent in Oaxaca creates color inspiration for her work. She is currently a full-time Potter in Philadelphia and has her work in represented in Museum shops, galleries, and in exhibitions across the country. Stefani has created many initiatives to create community among artists including the creation of the artists cooperative the Independent makers of Philadelphia, and Instagram series called “In our Studios”, and her newest venture to open Ceramic Concept, a ceramic centered storefront in Philadelphia focusing on the works of women, artists of color, and locals.
